Enchanted by Amsterdam

My friends and I took a 4 day trip to Amsterdam awhile back, and it was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had while traveling.

The sunset was absolutely gorgeous over the canals.

We spent a large chunk of our days walking everywhere. The city is easily accessible for pedestrians, and we got to take in all the sights of the downtown area.

We took a stroll through the public garden after some delicious brownies. The park was a nice change of pace from the hectic downtown. Everyone was relaxed here, and it was easy to see why. The trees blocked out the sounds of the busy city. The sun was hidden behind clouds, so it wasn’t overwhelmingly warm. And the entire place smelled great.

We stopped by the Heineken Brewery, of course.

I found the most wonderful cheese shop in the city. There were samples of every type of cheese. Needless to say, I had myself a whole buffet. I also befriended the guy who worked there. He told me he was from Denmark and gave me extra samples of strudel waffles.

The trip was such a blast. I can’t wait to go back one day. Here is a picture of squad posing by the ‘Dam. I also grew out my mustache for the trip. It was not worth it, because I look super sketchy…

Until next time!
